Reddish has only suited up in 20 games for the Knicks this season and needs a change of scenery.
We are less than 24 hours away from the NBA trade deadline, and rumors continue to flood in. According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, Chicago Bulls have interest in New York Knicks forward Cam Reddish.
The Duke product is currently riding the pine with the Knicks. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has only played Reddish 35 times since New York traded for him last season.
Rumors have been swirling around Reddish all season long. Several teams have reportedly expressed interest, but a deal has not come to fruition yet. Realistically, acquiring the 6-foot-8 forward would be a low-risk, high-reward move for almost any suitor.
If the Bulls landed Reddish, he would become the tallest non-center on the squad. He is in a contract year, which means it shouldn’t take much to acquire him. Sometimes players need a change of scenery, and the trade deadline could provide just that for the 23-year-old.
In 20 games this season, Reddish is averaging 8.4 PPG, 1.6 RPG, and 1 APG. He’s shooting 44% from the field and 30% from deep. Don’t let the three-point percentage fool you, however. Before joining the Knicks, Reddish shot 37% from downtown on 4.5 attempts per game in 2021-22.
It may not be the sexiest of moves for the Chicago Bulls, but Cam Reddish has the talent to become a key rotational player if developed correctly. Will Arturas Karnisovas pull the trigger on a deal? We’ll find out by the 2 PM CT NBA trade deadline on Thursday.
