Even though the Pro Bowl isn’t what it was, and the honor isn’t as huge as All-Pro, it’s still a noteworthy way to remember who was good in an NFL season.
Which is why it’s a little weird to write this sentence: Tyler Huntley — who threw all of two touchdowns in 2022 — will represent the AFC at quarterback.
Why? Because Patrick Mahomes is playing in the Super Bowl. His replacement is the deserving Trevor Lawrence.
Joe Burrow is in. And Josh Allen? He’s out. So he needs to be replaced.
Who else could it have been? Tua Tagovailoa is reportedly still dealing with a concussion. What about Justin Herbert? Derek Carr presumably doesn’t want to rep the Raiders right now. Russell Wilson was terrible. You get the picture.
