Police in New York City have arrested Toronto Raptors rookie guard Terence Davis after he allegedly assaulted a woman at a luxury high-rise in Manhattan, according to multiple reports.

The alleged attack happened Tuesday evenings at The Beekman Tower on Mitchell Place near First Avenue, according to police sources cited by the New York Post. Further details surrounding the incident were not immediately clear.

Local news outlet Pix11, citing officials, is reporting that Davis is accused of “slapping the woman across the face before grabbing her phone and breaking the screen.”

TSN’s Rick Westhead was able to confirm via the NYPD that Davis is facing multiple charges.

Davis joined the Raptors as a free agent last season after attending the University of Mississippi. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team after averaging 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 72 games.
