Aberdeen Christian Class B boys basketball’s new No. 1: Media Polls

Aberdeen Christian boys basketball the new No. 1 in Class B. The Knights, who picked up a convincing 87-68 win over then-No. 1 White River Saturday, took all 17 first-place votes in the poll.

Mitchell continues to move up in Class AA and Yankton entered the poll at No. 5. St. Thomas More slid to No. 5 in Class A following a loss to Winner, who still are only receiving votes in the poll.

In girls basketball, Stevens was the only new entrant into the poll in Class AA, tying for fifth in the rankings with Pierre.

The South Dakota Prep Media basketball polls for the week of Jan. 23 are listed below, ranking the top-five teams in each class, record, total points and previous ranking. First-place votes received are indicated in parentheses.
