Watch: Mike McCarthy dances with custom Cowboys chain after defeating Tampa Bay

Defeating #Defeating

It was a party in the Dallas Cowboys locker room after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night to cap off the NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend.

Dak Prescott played his best game in weeks, throwing for four touchdowns and running for another to answer critics of “America’s Team” with a 31-14 rout of Tom Brady and the Bucs.

So much for notion that Prescott and the Cowboys might not be up to the challenge of beating Brady.

As he left the field, Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs donned a victory chain with a giant logo of the Dallas star attached to it.

And as the postgame celebration made it to the Dallas locker room, the chain found its way to the team’s head coach, and Mike McCarthy, to much applause and cheers from his players, celebrated appropriately when it was his turn with the custom jewelry.

Dallas beat Brady for the first time in the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s career and won in the postseason on the road for the first time in 30 years to earn a trip to San Francisco to face the 49ers in the NFC divisional round next Sunday.

Who knows what kind of celebration might be in store if the Cowboys finally make it back to the NFC Championship Game?
