Shakira accused of plagiarism for her new song with Bizarrap
Shakira #Shakira
The first few hours since Bizarrap and Shakira released their Music Session #53 have been frantic. The reactions to the shots at Gerard Pique and Clara Chia are constant. The success is undisputed and yet a controversy has arisen that could tarnish the Colombian’s hit with the Argentine producer. There is an accusation of plagiarism that could turn the situation on its head.
It is a new issue that adds to the long list of controversies that Shakira has been facing since last year: a trial with the tax authorities and a request for jail, custody problems with her children with Pique and now a claim of alleged plagiarism. The complaint has come through social networks by Briella, who has shared two fragments of the Music Session #53 and her song ‘Solo tu’, which she released in June 2022.
Similarities
The first instance refers to a part where Shakira sings “just like you”, in reference to the former player and his new partner, Clara Chia. At the same time, Briella played a clip where she sings “only you”. The truth is that the resemblance between both melodies is striking.
However, the case does not stop there, but the Venezuelan artist has compared another part of her hits. Specifically, she played another one in which, once again, the melodies turn out to be very similar.
Criticism of Briella for her tweet against Shakira
The controversy has not ended and, just minutes after Briella made her post, social media users criticized the singer mercilessly.
“We explain to you how this works, Reyna,” Yum wrote on Twitter along with a video. In it, you can see that the rhythm of his ‘Only you’, in fact, also resembles many other songs that have been released over the past 20 years.
