Liberal election review calls for ’50 per cent’ female membership within ’10 years’

Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume says the election review recommended a “50 per cent target” within “10 years” for female membership opportunities within the Liberal party. “The election review that was put together by Brian Loughnane and I at the end of last year and it’s recommended a 50 per cent target for female parliamentarians,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia. “Within three elections, or 10 years. “It’s also supported with recommendations about female membership and also a support network for women within the Liberal party that will provide them with more opportunities.”
