The Los Angeles Rams couldn’t do the Detroit Lions a solid and keep the Seattle Seahawks out of the postseason, losing 19-16 in overtime. That Week 18 loss means the Lions are eliminated from the playoffs heading into the season finale, with the Packers needing a win to qualify.
Detroit’s first-round selection via the Rams through the Matthew Stafford trade is slated for Pick 6, while its own is projected for No. 17 heading into Sunday Night Football.

Detroit’s (8-8) final game is against the Green Bay Packers (8-8) from Lambeau Field on Sunday night. The Lions have a chance to complete the season sweep of the Packers, while keeping their NFC North rival from the playoffs.
“Yeah, I think it was really — like I said earlier, I just think — this is about more than anything, there’s one objective and that’s about winning this game and it’s us or it’s nobody,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said. “I think that’s the most important thing.”
