The NFL regular season has come and gone, but before we reach the final Sunday of the season, we must reach the final Saturday. To start the weekend off, the Kansas City Chiefs are in Las Vegas for a chance to clinch the No. 1 spot in the AFC and a first-round bye with a win over the Raiders.
Grabbing the top seed entering this postseason would be the third time for the Chiefs in the last five seasons. Can they get the job done on Saturday? If so, Kansas City’s two superstar offensive players will likely have much to do with it — just ask bettors.
According to John Ewing of BetMGM, Travis Kelce’s and Patrick Mahomes’ player props are the most bet-on of the game.
Kelce has 12 touchdowns on the season (4 against the Raiders in Week 5), so an anytime TD bet feels like a lock. Whether it’s the first of the game or not is a little more up in the air.
Mahomes is the MVP frontrunner for good reason (-1400 at BetMGM). He’s leading the NFL in touchdown passes (40) and passing yards (5,048). But can Mahomes throw for more than 325.5 yards? He’s done so nine times this season and could do so again on Saturday against a Las Vegas team that is eliminated from playoff contention and may be checked out mentally.
You can find out answers to all of the aforementioned questions at 4:30 p.m. ET on ABC or ESPN when the Chiefs and Raiders meet at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Kansas City will enter as 9-point favorites.
