Reece James’ return to Chelsea following a long-term knee injury was short-lived, as the England fullback was in visible distress following a second-half incident against Bournemouth.
Chelsea led 2-0 when the 23-year-old James required treatment on the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

James crumpled to the turf and held his hands over his eyes while waiting for trainers to attend to him, soon subbing off the pitch to be replaced by club captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
One of the top fullbacks in the games, James missed England’s World Cup run after getting hurt against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League back in mid-October.
James would miss about 10 weeks for the Blues and Three Lions, but looked in fine form over 53 minutes in London.
The 15-times capped James has two goals, two assists, and four yellow cards in 11 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea this season.
