Scott Arfield struck a remarkable double in the 95th and 97th minutes of the game at Pittodrie, turning what looked a certain defeat into an unlikely win.
The celebrations were wild as the Light Blues players lapped up the adulation from their fans.
It was the usual, powder keg encounter between the rivals.
Ten yellow cards were brandished as tempers threatened to boil over on a number of occasions.
The highly charged atmosphere continued after the end of the match.
In new footage that has come to light, Gers forward Sakala can be seen gesturing towards the Dons fans.
It comes in the moment after the Rangers players came over to applaud the visiting supporters housed in a corner of the stadium.
As they then make their way back towards the tunnel, Sakala then turns his attention to a section of the home supporters, gesturing three times.
It didn’t go down well with the home fans who remained in the stadium.
Teammate Alfredo Morelos can also be seen waving the fans goodbye.
It comes after Gers stars Connor Goldson and Adam Devine were spotted celebrating wildly in front of the home supporters right at the final whistle.
Facing the Aberdeen supporters, the defenders pumped their fists and thumped the Gers badges on their shirts as they celebrated the remarkable conclusion to the match.
The win saw Rangers cut the cap on Celtic to six points, but the champions restored their nine-point lead by beating Livingston.
Michael Beale’s men will, however, once again have the chance to reduce it back to six when they travel to face Ross County in Dingwall on Friday night.
