Daniel Jones is set to be a free agent after the Giants declined their fifth-year option while Zach Wilson is in a battle for his job with Mike White.
However in USA Today’s latest first-round mock, both the Giants and Jets add pieces on offense to support whoever will be calling the plays in the huddle.
At No. 18, the Jets are projected to pick Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones.
Jones has been impressive this season against top competition, and has all the traits to quickly develop into a quality starter at a premium position.
At No. 23, the Giants are projected to select Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.
Hyatt has put up huge numbers in a breakout campaign, and deserves first-round billing.

The Philadelphia Eagles, who lead the NFL with a 12-1 record and have clinched a playoff spot, are set to have a top-10 pick next year. That’s due to general manager Howie Roseman, who traded for the New Orleans Saints’ 2023 first-round pick before the 2022 draft.
At No. 5, the Eagles are projected to pick Clemson EDGE Myles Murphy.
Murphy’s elite combination of size, athleticism and versatility would make him a great fit in this defense, and a bargain outside of the top five.
At No. 31, the Eagles are projected to select Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
This offense is already one of the most dominant and entertaining in the league, so adding a versatile weapon like Gibbs would just make it downright unfair.
