The limited collection of NFTs will be available from December 6th. The motifs relate to the Nitto ATP Finals 2022. The first generative art project of the tour will collect official in-match data to create unique artworks. Martin Grasser from San Francisco lets his works tell the story of a winning game at the Finals. The tennis balls on a colored background are not chosen at random, but represent, for example, the championship point.

How the artworks came about

Official tennis data makes it possible to show the exact position, speed and direction of movement of the ball. Martin Grasser commented on the project: “There is art in everything – in a newspaper, a letter, a swing at a tennis match. These ordinary objects and moments can be broken down into simple components and reassembled into more complex languages.” Once a prospect purchases a work, they can also subsequently order a physical print. Once the NFTs are traded in the secondary market, a percentage of those sales go directly to a mental health organization.

Innovation across the board

The general manager of FIT Servici, Marco Martinasso, praised the perfect interaction. Both the Nitto ATP Finals and digital art are very innovative. He is happy that fans can now own and enjoy special moments from Turin.
