Great news for one of the world’s saddest cats — he’s been adopted!

Trust a cute cat with a sad face to pull on people’s heartstrings. Tabby cat Fishtopher went viral after Twitter user Molly Clarke posted screenshots of the adorable yet depressed feline’s adoption profile. Two days after the tweet went up on Nov. 24, Blackwood, New Jersey’s Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center announced via Facebook that Fishtopher had found a forever home.

“FISHTOPHER HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!” Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center wrote. “We literally had hundreds of inquiries from people who wanted to adopt and people were waiting out front this morning in line!”

While only one lucky family got to adopt Fishtopher, the wave of adoption interest helped seven other cats also find homes, according to an update from the center.

Fishtopher’s social media fans can still keep up with his life, too. An Instagram account set up by Fishtopher’s new family now posts regular updates about him.

“We’re super happy for him,” Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center wrote, “but if you were interested in him, have no fear. We have hundreds of other kitties who are just as wonderful and are wishing that people would come and stand in line for them.”
