Harry Brook scored a magnificent century
England batter Harry Brook scored a magnificent century versus Pakistan on Day 1 of the first Test in Rawalpindi. Brook became the fourth centurion for England on the day, joining the likes of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, and Ollie Pope. Brook smashed the 3rd-fastest ton by an England batter in Tests, having taken 80 balls to achieve the landmark. Here’s more.
Brook shines for England
Brook shared a superb 176-run stand alongside Pope (108). He paced his knock well and played aggressively. He hit 14 fours and two sixes to get to his century. Brook is unbeaten on 101 from 81 balls (SR: 124.69). Notably, this was just his second inning in the format for England. He made his debut versus South Africa in September and scored 12.

England posted a defining score of 506/4 on Day 1. 75 overs were bowled as bad light forced early stumps. Crawley (122), Duckett (107), Pope (108), and Brook (101*) were terrific. For Pakistan, Zahid Mahmood (2/160) claimed a couple of scalps.
