Justin Herbert continues to throw touchdown passes on Monday Night Football.
The Los Angeles Chargers’ rookie quarterback threw another scoring pass, his third of the game, against the New Orleans Saints. Herbert threw a 3-yard scoring pass to tight end Hunter Henry to give the Chargers a 20-3 lead in the second quarter.
Herbert’s third scoring pass was set up after Chargers’ safety Nasir Adderley intercepted a pass from Saints quarterback Drew Brees and returned the pick down to the Saints 1.
The scoring pass tied his career-high of the three touchdown passes he threw against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. Herbert has now thrown eight touchdown passes in the four games he has started.
