Ukraine requests immediate access to site of missile strike in Poland, ready to hand over evidence

“We advocate for a joint examination of the incident of the missile’s landing in Poland,” he tweeted.

“We are ready to hand over evidence of the Russian trace that we have. We are expecting information from our partners, based on which a conclusion was made that it’s a Ukrainian air defense missile.”

Meanwhile, Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Air Force, said that an investigation into the incident was underway.

“The Air Force will contribute as much as possible, and experts will be involved if necessary, and we’ll provide certain materials,” he told Ukrainian television Channel 24.

On Nov. 15, during a massive Russian air attack on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, a missile fell onto the village of Przewodów in the Lublin district of Poland, killing two people.

After that, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki convened an urgent meeting of the National Security and Defense Affairs committee.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Warsaw is holding a series of international consultations, and NATO forces are in a state of combat readiness.

In turn, Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte blamed Russia for the rogue missile strike.
