I’m A Celebrity viewers were left fuming last night as Matt Hancock entered the jungle – and failed to mention his dyslexia campaign.
The shamed politician, 44, had claimed his reason for taking part in the show was to raise awareness for it, but he seemed to forget all about it as he was quizzed by his new campmates.

Those watching at home were very unimpressed and took to Twitter to moan about it.
One person wrote: “Hancock was asked twice in tonight’s show why he entered the jungle, funnily enough he didn’t use it as a chance to “raise awareness of dyslexia on a platform that will reach people” 🙄 #ImACeleb.”
A second added: “Matt Hancock was asked, on at least four different occasions during tonight’s episode, why he entered I’m A Celebrity. Not once did he mention dyslexia. It’s all a money-making vanity project. #ImACeleb.”
While a third put: “I thought Matt Hancock said he was going into the jungle to raise awareness for dyslexia charities? No mention…….🤔🤔🤔🤔 #ImACeleb.”
Speaking about his decision to do the show, Matt previously told The Sun: “I want to raise the profile of my dyslexia campaign to help every dyslexic child unleash their potential — even if it means taking an unusual route to get there . . . via the Australian jungle! I’m A Celebrity . . . is watched by millions of Brits up and down the country.
“I want to use this incredible platform to raise awareness, so no child leaves primary school not knowing if they have dyslexia.”
Matt’s highly anticipated arrival in the jungle was met with a mixture of shock, incredulity and uncontrollable laughter from the celebs.
The former health secretary finally joined the cast of the ITV reality show, after facing much criticism over his decision from the public and fellow politicians.
Shortly after arriving he took part in the Beastly Burrows Bushtucker Trial challenge alongside fellow late entry, comedian Seann Walsh – and was later selected again by the public to face a second trial on Thursday.
After seeing Matt exclaiming to the come down the stairs Seann doubled over in fits of laughter, later Bush Telegraph, “Matt Hancock!” and laughing even more.
Matt caused a further stir as he entered the main camp, with many of the show’s famous faces shocked to see the West Suffolk MP, who had the Conservative Party whip removed after announcing his plans to join the show.
Following the arrivals of Matt and Seann, radio DJ Chris Moyles paid a visit to the Bush Telegraph and said: “Oh my god, two new people have arrived.
“One of them is Seann Walsh and the other one – I’ve got to go back and double check.”
Also speaking in the Bush Telegraph, soap star Sue Cleaver added: “I don’t know what to say.”
Later in a one-on-one exchange with Matt, Loose Women star Charlene White asked him: “Why are you here?”
“Because, honest truth, there are so few ways in which politicians can show that we are human beings,” Matt replied, to which Charlene flashed a disbelieving look.
Culture Club frontman Boy George told him: “You’re really going to get it. You’re really going to get it. Not from me, I mean, just from…”
