I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here viewers are in disbelief after hearing contestant Owen Warner claim that he’s one of the ‘smartest’ people in camp this year.
Viewers probably wouldn’t have questioned the Hollyoaks actor’s statement too much if he hadn’t given them plenty of reason to think otherwise.
Since he first appeared on screen on Sunday night, Owen has been making people laugh with his hilarious comments and questions.
It was all downhill for Owen after he was introduced to fellow campmate Boy George, and had no idea who he was.
From there, Boy George had to explain to Owen who property expert Scarlette Douglas was – but he had no luck.
“She’s from A Place In The Sun”, Boy George told him.
Not understanding, Owen replied: “Whereabouts?”
A shocked Boy George then clarified: “No, like the TV show.”
It just got worse on Monday night (7 November), when Owen asked Mike Tindall if wife Zara is Australian.
Zara is a member of the royal family and the daughter of Princess Anne. But it seems Owen hadn’t brushed up on his general knowledge before Mike started telling his campmates about how he met his wife.
“In Sydney, in 2003, I was in the World Cup and she was out watching,” explained Mike.
“Is she Australian?” Asked Owen, before Mike replied with a very simple “no”.
Chris Moyles later tried to convince Owen that he was a pro dancer, and set himself a challenge to make Owen believe that his father invented the lawnmower.
That’s why viewers were so horrified when Owen suggested that he was probably one of the smartest people in camp, after completing a simple challenge.

“Owen baby you’re the dumbest not the smartest”, tweeted one amused viewer. “At least he’s being useful.”
“‘I reckon we’re the two smartest in there’ oh Owen”, wrote a second.
“‘Two smartest in here’, Owen babes are you okay?” asked a third.
“Owen, if you were one of the smartest people in camp, I’d be worried” joked a fourth.

To be fair to Owen, he did win some treats for his teammates, so he isn’t a total lost cause.
Meanwhile Olivia Attwood, Boy George, Chris Moyles and Scarlette Douglas completed the first trial of the series tonight, bringing home eight stars for camp.
A show spokesman confirmed to LADbible: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.
“Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.
“She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
