Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed he is open to managing a national team next amid links to the England job.
The German, 49, was sacked by new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly in September and replaced by Brighton boss Graham Potter.
And Tuchel told The Hindu Times that he would be tempted if an international side approached him – but insisted it had to be ‘the right team’ with a potential to win trophies.

But the German, sacked by Chelsea in September, said Gareth Southgate is doing a good job
He said: ‘Yeah, why not? I would, I would. I did not give too much thought to it until now.
‘But I would consider if it is the right team and if it has the potential to win trophies like the World Cup and the Euros.’
When asked if he wants to manage England in particular, he added: ‘I see where you are going. But I think England has a good coach right now.
Tuchel’s successor with the Blues Graham Potter is among the favourites to replace Southgate
‘The team is very strong and very talented… as for everything else, I will not comment.’
With the Qatar World Cup starting later this month, there could be a host of international jobs becoming available as managers leave their roles after the tournament.
The 52-year-old Southgate has insisted he wants to see out his contract until 2024 amid speculation over his future – with Tuchel’s successor at Stamford Bridge, Potter, among the bookies’ favourites to take over the Three Lions.
