  • As the backlash over Kanye West’s recent controversial statements grows, the rapper continues to lose a number of business partnerships. Several high-profile companies have parted ways with West thus far and, since then, there’s been pressure for other entities to follow suit. Adidas, which began collaborating with West in 2013, has especially been in the hot seat as of late. Now, the sportswear giant has confirmed that it’s dropping the star and released a statement in which it elaborated on the decision. This all comes on the heels of Johnny Depp’s attorney also severing ties with West. Kanye West, now officially known as Ye, appeared on the "Drink Champs" podcast earlier this month and made anti-Semitic comments. He also mused that “I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?” The German company released a statement, which was shared with CNBC, earlier this morning regarding its decision to drop the star. Said move will reportedly amount to a $246 million loss for the corporation in the short term. In its message, the organization condemned West’s sentiments and specified just how soon it’ll conclude its business with him.

  • Danny Masterson’s rape trial has entered its second week, and the proceedings seem to be getting even more tense. When the trial kicked off last week, things got off to a rough start, as the judge took issue with the opening statements. Now, at the top of this week, the case has been rocked by a surprising witness testimony. Not only that, but Masterson’s defense team (once again) asked for a mistrial. This time as a result of the individual’s statements. Today, the judge and jury heard from Shaun Fabos, who was a friend of Jane Doe 1 (or Jen B) and worked for her parents around the time that Danny Masterson allegedly sexually assaulted her. Per Variety, though he was called upon to speak on behalf of the prosecution, his testimony seemingly provided a leg-up for the defense. Fabos mentioned that he went on a trip to Florida with Jen B and her family, something he previously mentioned to an investigator for the defense but never to the prosecution. The plaintiff said that after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Masterson in 2003, she had bruises on her hip and wrist. However, Fabos – who was allegedly told about the purported incident shortly after it happened – claims that such markings were not present on her body during the group excursion.

  • Celebrities and interviews are an interesting combination, as the two don’t always mix. In the case of Brad Pitt, star of the upcoming movie "Babylon," a very brief chat has left him in hot water with fans of Formula 1 racing. The reasons for that upset are pretty big, as not only is Pitt set to make a movie about that very sport, but he’s been perceived as ignoring one of its greats. That F1 great happens to be racer-turned-Sky Sports personality Martin Brundle, who tried to stop the "Bullet Train" star as he navigated the pit of this past weekend’s U.S. Grand Prix. A clip from TMZ Sports shows Brad Pitt at the event, which was held in Austin, Texas, seemingly avoiding Brundle from the start. The interviewer eventually catches him for a couple brief questions, with Pitt answering as vaguely and politely as possible before being swept away by his entourage.

  • Warning: SPOILERS for "Black Adam: are ahead! While the new Dwayne Johnson movie "Black Adam" had things covered on the superhero front by pitting its title character against Justice Society of America members Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone, there was an extra surprise awaiting audiences after the main story concluded. In "Black Adam’s" end-credits scene, Henry Cavill’s Superman paid a visit to the Man in Black, and now Cavill has broken his silence on returning to the DC Extended Universe as the Man of Steel. For those of you who like Henry Cavill’s performance as Superman, good news, the actor has confirmed that his appearance in "Black Adam" wasn’t a one-off. Turning to his Instagram page, Cavill shared that we’ll be seeing more of him as Superman in the DCEU with the following words.

  • The public was shocked by the death of Anne Heche back in August, which happened as the result of a truly terrible car crash. Since the 53 year-old actress’ passing was so unexpected, there’s been a legal battle over her estate, as well as the custody of her youngest child. And now Heche’s eldest son Homer Laffoon has requested more access to his late mother’s estate. On August 31st Homer Laffoon filed a petition to the Los Angeles County probate court asking to be named Anne Heche’s estate administrator, as the late actress didn’t have an updated will at the time of her passing. But there’s been some push back, namely by Heche’s ex James Tupper who is also trying to take control of her estate. And per a new report by Page Six, Laffoon is hoping to get even more access, which will seemingly be up to the courts.

It’s a bit of a running joke on the animated series Solar Opposites that the family of aliens found at the center of the show don’t understand things about our culture… and that includes holidays. Creators Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan inject their unique sense of humor into Solar Opposites for regular episodes, and pull out the big guns for two (so far) holiday-themed special episodes… this latest one focusing on Halloween. Korvo (voiced by Roiland) remains terrified of Halloween, and his reactions to Halloween horrors are violently extreme. But they aren’t as laser sharp as an hilarious joke aimed straight at Disney, the parent company of Hulu where Solar Opposites streams.

The bulk of A Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special alternates between content for audiences who adore the spooky season, and those who think it’s a terrible waste of time. (You know, kind of like our real-life push-and-pull between horror mavens who come out every October to watch the best horror movies ever made, and the rest of us who don’t care.) But as Terry (Thomas Middleditch), Jesse (Mary Mack) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) try to make their home as scary as possible for the season, they open up a coffin, prompting Jesse to observe:

Immediately after making that joke, she receives a cellphone call from Disney’s Standards and Practices over the joke, but she sends them straight to voicemail. So when I got the chance to sit down with the creative team behind this special, I asked them if they have to run a joke about Disney’s Standards and Practices BY Disney’s Standards and Practices to get approval. And executive producer Josh Bycel told CinemaBlend:

To which co-creator Mike McMahan clarified:

Because it makes people laugh, that’s why! Halloween doesn’t always have to be about something scary. It can be funny, as well. That’s why Solar Opposites often slips in unexpected references to Seinfeld or Mickey Mouse. They keep their audience guessing, and laughing. This crew seems ready to keep pushing the envelope in terms of what they find amusing (though a crossover with Rick & Morty doesn’t seem to be in the cards). The Halloween special is streaming on Hulu right now if you want something funny to liven up your evening.
