Start spreading the news. New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman have assembled their roster for the American League Championship Series vs. the Houston Astros.

With Game 1 Wednesday night at Minute Maid Park, the Yankees didn’t have much time to settle on their roster after beating the Cleveland Guardians, 5-1, in Game 5 of the American League Division Series Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.

A couple of decisions were made in advance, with outfielder Aaron Hicks suffering a knee injury Tuesday and reliever Aroldis Chapman going rogue ahead of the ALDS.

UPDATE (12:14 p.m.): Oswald Peraza and Frankie Montas made the cut. So did Miguel Castro and Greg Weissert.

Ron Marinaccio did not make the roster. Same for Lucas Luetge and Marwin Gonzalez as the Yankees go with 13 position players and 13 pitchers.
