On Instagram, Saka posted a picture of himself on the red carpet at the Ballon d’Or ceremony earlier this week.
The youngster was a contender to win the Kopa Trophy, an award presented to the best performing player under the age of 21. The rankings were revealed at the event and Saka finished eighth, seven places behind Barcelona wonderkid Gavi, who picked up the award.

An eighth-placed finish is not bad at all for Saka. He is one of the finest talents in world football at the moment, and as much as he would’ve loved to get his hands on the award, he should be happy with where he is right now.
Just getting an opportunity to attend the Ballon d’Or ceremony is something many players in the world dream of. Saka got that opportunity this week, and Willock was delighted for him.
The Newcastle midfielder commented under Saka’s Instagram post: “What a sight!”

Saka is definitely one of the best players of his age in the world.
The youngster has almost carried Arsenal on his back over the last two years, and he has taken his game to a whole new level since the start of this campaign.
Saka has scored five goals and provided four assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season. He has scored four in his last three games as well, and he’s one of the reasons why Arsenal have looked so good this term.
The Gunners are currently on top of the Premier League table, and if Saka and co can maintain their form, they could go on and achieve something really special this season.
