Avoid the ‘Sunday blues’ with a good wellness day routine
Good Sunday #GoodSunday
Many consider Sunday to be the end of a week whilst others believe it’s the start of a new one. Whether you relate to either one of these, a relaxing Sunday should always be the number one priority on the mood board. How does one achieve this? A simple good routine that balances out all the energies you invest into your day.
Whether you decide to sleep in or be up when the birds are chirping, a great way to start the day is with a cup of coffee. Combine this with a lovely croissant or even a delicious koeksister (Sunday is seen as an off day for most) so spoil yourself with a breakfast treat.
Mediation is such a great way to start your day. It sets your intention, clears your mind, and just allows your perspective of the day to be established. If meditation does not work for you, simple breathing also does the trick. It just allows for a peaceful environment, uninterrupted by the stresses of your everyday.
Sunday lunch to many is a tradition, it also is seen as a time for the family to come together and sit around the table and just celebrate being together. Making sure that the lunch is packed with good food that is filled with nutritional value is a very important element.
Music is such good therapy for the soul. A great Sunday playlist is filled with some soft jazz, and old-school throwback songs that just have feel-good energy. it will also allow you to wind down and ease yourself into planning the week ahead.
What will a Sunday be without a nap? Sunday afternoon naps should almost be compulsory as the week does not always provide you the opportunity to nap in the afternoons. This also allows for some good rest if the weekend happened to be on the busier side!
These little Sunday hacks will allow for an easy Sunday filled with time not only for yourself but also for your family. Fun-filled, peaceful moments, that you should enjoy
