Lightning’s Ian Cole: Suspended by team

The Lightning suspended Cole while the team investigates the allegations against him, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

There’s no word regarding how long Cole is expected to be absent from the team. The veteran blueliner signed a one-year deal with the Lightning this offseason after playing 75 games with Carolina last season. Haydn Fleury could see some bottom-four minutes during Cole’s absence.
