Christian Pulisic is taking advantage of the opportunities that new manager Graham Potter is giving him at Chelsea and he made an impact in the 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. The United States international made his first start under Potter, and his second in the Premier League and scored in the 54th minute to give the Blues the 2-0 lead at that moment.

The USMNT ace broke down the left flank in Chelsea’s counter attack and dribbled past Nelson Semedo cutting to the right side near the edge of the box. Then, combining with Mason Mount, the American picked up the return ball and chipped to bag his first goals of the season.

Graham Potter has implemented a new system at Chelsea FC and Pulisic started the game as a left wing-back, meaning that he had to drop down to defend when they didn’t have the ball and had the freedom to push forward when they did. The American was very productive in the role and was presented with plenty of chances to score more than once.
Pulisic’s rating against the Wolves
The 24-year-old played a total of 74 minutes and he left the pitch with 43 touches, 22 accurate forward zone passes, 88% accurate passes and nine times he lost possession. Pulisic has been involved in two of the five goals that Chelsea has scored in the last two Premier League games after last week’s game-winning assist to Conor Gallagher to give the Blues the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
