ESPN’s “College GameDay” was in Lawrence, Kansas, on Saturday ahead of No. 19 Kansas’ showdown with No. 17 TCU.
Kansas fans were out in full force, and they took aim at Alabama, Nick Saban and the SEC with their signs.
“We Want Bama” chants were heard during the broadcast and signs were plentiful on Saturday.
The show is being live streamed on fuboTV (free trial) and DirecTV Stream (free trial).
No. 19 Kansas (5-0) is off to its best start since 2009 entering this game against the Big 12 rival No. 17 ranked Horned Frogs (4-0), who are also unbeaten.
Sonny Dykes has built winning programs all over the country, from Louisiana Tech to California to SMU and now TCU. He has the Horned Frogs unbeaten through four games and ranked in the Top 25. So, if anybody can appreciate the job that Lance Leipold has done at Kansas, it’s probably him. The two coaches will face each other Saturday in a matchup of perhaps the two biggest surprises of the season.
The game is a sellout, the third consecutive one for Kansas at Memorial Stadium.
Rece Davis leads the show in his eighth season as host and is joined at the desk by “GameDay” analysts Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee and David Pollack. Lee Corso is ill and isn’t on the broadcast for the second straight week.
Reporters Jen Lada, Gene Wojciechowski and newcomer Jess Sims, along with research producer Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica and college football insider Pete Thamel, round out the “GameDay” crew for the season.
