Von Hofe, Malucelli and McIntosh will each bring 10 women into the house, though contestants can switch allegiances should another Bachelor catch their eye.

“In this instance, rather than leaving the show, women can opt to try their luck with another Bachelor. Expect plenty of drama.”

The show’s long-time host Osher Gunsberg also confirmed there will be a proposal from one of the Bachelors at the season’s end.

Meanwhile, another of the network’s popular reality shows, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, will return to South Africa for its next season, after two years of filming in Australia thanks to COVID-19 lockdowns.

As for Ten’s drama slate, Five Bedrooms will get a fourth season, while two new original productions will premiere in 2023: Paper Dolls and North Shore.

The latter is a murder mystery created by Mike Bullen of Cold Feet fame and starring Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt, while Paper Dolls charts the rise and fall of a pop group formed on a TV show.

Hosted by Tom Gleeson, Taskmaster sees well-known personalities compete against each other.

“Shows like Popstars and Australian Idol are synonymous with Channel 10, so that feels quite meta and a perfect fit,” says Monaghan. Belinda Chapple from Australian pop group Bardot, which emerged out of Popstars, will co-executive produce.

Ten will also expand its line of comedy panel shows with Taskmaster set to join Would I Lie to You, Have You Been Paying Attention? and The Cheap Seats.

Adapted from the hit UK format of the same name and hosted by Tom Gleeson, Taskmaster sees well-known personalities including Julia Morris, Nina Oyama, Luke McGregor, Jimmy Rees and Danielle Walker compete against each other by completing tasks assigned to them by the Taskmaster.

“We love Hard Quiz, and we’re thrilled for [Gleeson] to bring this famous format to life, it’s right in his wheelhouse,” says Monaghan.

Graeme Hall, the Dog-Father of dog training, is up for a new challenge: helping you train your new canine friend.

Also new to Ten in 2023 is Location, Location, Location, a property series that sees homebuyers seeking a tree or sea change, and Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, which sees desperate pet owners get control of their wild canines.

A new cooking show called Dessert Masters from the producers of MasterChef will also premiere. It will be short and sweet, literally, with 10 cooks battling it out over six episodes to become Australia’s inaugural dessert master.

“We wanted to tap into the success of programs like Bake Off, tap into that popularity around sweets and desserts,” says Monaghan. “We’ve noticed through MasterChef audiences have an appetite for dessert-based challenges, so we knew this would be a good move for us.”
