Money Saving Expert founder Martin Lewis is often praised by many for his financial help and advice, especially during the ongoing cost of living crisis.
At the beginning of 2022, Mr Lewis was awarded a CBE for services to broadcasting and consumer rights in the Queen’s New Year Honours. He has spent many years tirelessly working to help people in the UK save or reclaim cash, and it’s never been needed more than now.
And his work hasn’t gone unnoticed. Many fans have recently called for him to enter politics – and even to be the next British Prime Minister.

Research commissioned by Channel 4 ahead of its new show ‘Make Me Prime Minister’ showed Mr Lewis was the favourite celebrity to be the country’s next leader among those surveyed. Mr Lewis was closely followed by David Attenborough, Stephen Fry and Alison Hammond.
Responding to the results, Mr Lewis has given a clear and concise answer to anyone wondering if he has a political career ahead of him.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, he said: “While a very kind thought. As I’ve said before, my mental health isn’t robust enough for partisan politics. Nor would I do it to my family. In fact, I’d rather have my nipples wired to electrodes (and not in a good way).”
It doesn’t seem likely, then.
