Expect humid conditions in the early afternoon, and feeling less humid by late afternoon. a 10% chance of isolated showers and storms track in from the northeast and push east across the Northshore. Before dinner-time those isolated showers and storms drop to the South Shore and generate a large storm near Belle Chasse. WHAT A DAY WE HAD OF HOT TEMPERATURES, SUNSHINE AND OF COURSE, WE’LL SEE MORE OF THAT TOMORROW. A GOOD LOOKING WEEKEND. A LOT OF ACTIVITIES GOING ON OUT THERE. SO YOU START OUT EARLY, YOU MAYBE GET YOUR WORKOUT BEFORE IT GETS TOO WARM OUT THERE. AND THEN AS YOU GET THROUGH THE AFTERNOON, JUST WEAR THAT SUNSCREEN, OF COURSE, AND MAKE SURE YOU WEAR THAT HAT AND HYDRATE. WE’RE GETTING TODAY’S HIGHS. IF YOU DIDN’T GET A CHANCE TO SEE IT, WE PICKED UP THOSE 98 TODAY. AND OF COURSE, IN SOME LOCATIONS, YOU SEE BY THE LAKEFRONT, 89 DEGREES. BUT OTHER LOCATIONS THROUGH THE DAY FELT PRETTY WARM. IN FACT, PRETTY HOT IN SOME CASES WHERE IT FELT LIKE IT WAS UP TO 99 DEGREES OVER, BUT TERRIBLE IN PARIS IN SOME CASES. WE’LL ALSO BE SEEING NEAR RECORD HEAT TODAY. WE ARE UP TO 92 DEGREES. THE RECORD 94 BACK IN 2016. TOMORROW, I DON’T THINK WE’RE GOING TO COME CLOSE TO THE RECORD BECAUSE IT WAS BACK IN WELL, AT LEAST IT WAS UP TO 100 DEGREES. THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WE DON’T NEED THAT. AND THE WAY WE GO, LOOK AT THAT SUNSET. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS OUT HERE AS WE TAKE A LOOK YET AGAIN LOOKING TOWARD THE CITY HERE. THIS IS AGAIN A BEAUTIFUL SHOT FROM CHALMETTE. YOU’RE LOOKING AT NEW ORLEANS, 92 DEGREES RIGHT NOW. STILL CALM CONDITIONS. IT FEELS LIKE IT’S 95 DEGREES, 44 DEGREES GOING ON FOR RELATIVE HUMIDITY. YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURES RIGHT ABOUT NOW FOR EVERYBODY ELSE, THE HOLD ON ALL THOSE EIGHTIES AND NINETIES AS YOU GO UP, THE BOGALUSA ALL THE WAY OVER TO GULFPORT AND BILOXI, 92 FOR DELL AND OTHER LOCATIONS BY THE COAST STILL HOLDING ON THAT HEAT. YOU CAN SEE THAT AGAIN WHERE IT FEELS LIKE AGAIN, IT’S IN THE NINETIES. ALL RIGHT. SO WE TAKE A LOOK HOW THIS ALL PLAYS OUT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE EVENING. FROM NEW ORLEANS, WE’RE GOING TO HOLD ON TO THOSE EIGHTIES GOING INTO ABOUT THE 3:00 HOUR IN THE MORNING. THEN WE START TO COOL DOWN A LITTLE BIT. WE’LL SEE FOR COVINGTON, LOOKING AT THOSE 74 VERY COMFORTABLE EVENING IN THERE WITH CLEAR SKIES, TOO, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES TO FINISH OUT. WELL, I’LL SPEAK OF BOGALUSA POSSIBLY GETTING DOWN TO 69 TO 68 DEGREES. NOT BAD, RIGHT? WARMING IT UP PRETTY QUICKLY ONCE WE GET INTO THE 7:00 HOUR WHEN THE SUN POPS UP, YOU’RE LOOKING YET AGAIN A COLD FRONT THAT’S GOING TO BE WORKING ITS WAY INTO OUR AREA OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO REALLY DROP. YOU’LL SEE THAT IN THE SEVEN DAY FORECAST. RAINFALL TOMORROW, MAYBE LOOKING AT ABOUT A TEN, POSSIBLY 20% CHANCE COMING INTO THE FORECAST. WE’LL FINISH OUT DRY TONIGHT, GET INTO CLEAR TO MOST THE CLEAR SKIES YOU CAN SEE IN THOSE CASES, TEMPERATURES DIPPING BACK THAT ARE DIPPING DOWN AND THEN COMING BACK UP YET AGAIN FROM THE SIXTIES UP TO THE NINETIES. BY THE TIME WE GET AT 4:00, HERE COMES THE RAINFALL BOGALUSA DOWN THE PEARL RIVER EXTENDING OVER TO AREAS BY GULFPORT, BILOXI, RAINFALL YOU GET INTO THE BIG LEAVES BACK OVER TO LAKEFRONT INTO THE KENNER AS WELL. AND THE METRO CAN’T FORGET US HERE. HOW ABOUT THAT? OVER BY LAKE MARIUPOL AND THEN CONTINUING ON WE GET SOME OF THAT HEAVY STUFF STARTING TO WORK IN. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM KENNER ALL THE WAY THROUGH METAIRIE BACK DOWN TO BELLE CHASE. HEAVY RAINSTORMS COMING IN INTO THE EVENING. YOU CAN SEE BY 9:00 THAT COULD SPREAD A LITTLE BIT MORE. SO AREAS BY RIGHT BY GALLIANO GETTING RIGHT DOWN TO HOMA AND THEN UP AND THAT GOES BACK DOWN TO THE COAST WITH TEMPERATURES BACK IN THE SEVENTIES AS WE GET INTO MIDNIGHT TURNING INTO. SO THAT’S HOW IT PLAYS OUT AND THAT’S PRETTY MUCH THE MOST RAINFALL WE’RE LOOKING AT FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS INTO KNOW THE EVENING EIGHTIES AND SOME SEVENTIES, OF COURSE. FIRST, WE’RE GOING TO START OFF IN SOME OF THOSE 90. SO DON’T FORGET ABOUT THAT. BUT YOU’RE GOING TO SEE NORTHEASTERLY WINDS COMING IN 5 TO 10 MILES PER HOUR, GOING TO CLEAR OUT A LITTLE BIT, OPEN UP THE SKIES. WE’LL GET THE MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES EVENTUALLY WITH A FEW CLOUDS SNEAKING IN TONIGHT AS WE GO INTO IT. MOSTLY CLEAR CONDITIONS, MILD, A LITTLE LESS HUMID. YEAH. YOU LIKE WHAT I’M SEEING RIGHT THERE, RIGHT? 68 TO 77 DEGREES. WE GO INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS INTO THE MORNING TOMORROW, 91 TO 94. WE SAW THAT, RIGHT? YEAH THAT WAS EARLIER TODAY. SO THAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN YET AGAIN. CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES. WE GET RIGHT INTO IT. AND THOSE THE YEN, THE TEMPERATURES WITH THE NINETIES COMBING RIGHT IN BY TUESDAY THAT COLD FRONT SLIPS THROUGH THE AREA AND IT MOVES JUST ON TO NEAR THE COAST. WE GET DOWN TO 85, 83 BY WEDNESDAY, FINISHING OUT RIGHT INTO THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WITH COOLER CONDITIONS YET
