Ex-hellraiser Robbie Williams will bar his kids from seeing his upcoming biopic as it is too honest.

The singer, 48, who has battled sex and drug addictions, has four children with wife Ayda Field – Teddy, nine, Charlie, seven, Coco, three, and Beau, two.

Robbie said: “I never want them to watch Better Man. No. There’s too much honesty in the film. Nobody’s children need to know that much.”

In the movie, being filmed in Melbourne, Australia, and due out next year, Robbie will play himself and Brit actor Jonno Davies, 29, is a younger version of the singer.

Robbie, who found fame with Take That in the 90s, said: “I’m playing bits of me. It was odd and wonderful.

“It’s weird to be in a make-up room where the man that’s playing your dad is there, the woman that’s playing your grandma and the woman that’s playing your mum is there.

“And then Howard Donald’s dreadlock wig is there. And Jason Orange’s plastic chin is there.”

Its director is Michael Gracey, who directed The Greatest Showman.

Former bad boy of pop, Robbie is as well known for his party lifestyle as his hits, such as Angels and Rock DJ.

He has been clean for more than 20 years but he admitted, at the height of his addiction, to being just “24 hours away from death”.
