DAL-CIN reaction: ‘One of one’ Micah Parsons leads stifling defense as Cowboys survive

Cowboys #Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys found the winning column for the first time this season on Sunday.

Behind backup quarterback Cooper Rush, a stifling defense led by Micah Parsons and the clutch leg of Brett Maher, the Cowboys defeated the Cincinnati Bengals at the buzzer, 20-17.

Here’s how social media reacted to Sunday’s game:

Two starts, two come from behind wins for Cooper Rush in his career.

But you need an offense to help them out some. Think there gonna be some postgame callers ticked about KM’s play calling?

Bengals with a helluva drive to tie this game up. Trevon Diggs, Anthony Brown and Jorudan Lewis give it up in the secondary. Tough plays. Joe Burrow with clutch throws. Pass rush didn’t get there.

— Calvin Watkins (@calvinwatkins) September 18, 2022

Bengals QB Joe Burrow has struggled for time in the pocket just about all game. But he had all afternoon against a three-man rush on touchdown. Two-point conversion is good. We’re tied at 17 in Arlington.

Game officials catch a lot of criticism. Following a conference, they made a great decision to pick up the flag on Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch. A potential game changer if that call on clean hit was made.

Micah Parsons is so good — I watch him over the offensive team, when the ball is snapped. He’s got more moves than JA Morant.

Micah Parsons making La’el look like Chaz Green

— John Owning (@JohnOwning) September 18, 2022

Cowboys LB Micah Parsons with two sacks for the second time in as many games. It requires restraint not to call him the best defensive player in game today. He is that disruptive, that versatile. The combination is one of one.

If you ever saw me post anything negative about Cooper Rush I was joking

— Cameron Magruder (@ScooterMagruder) September 18, 2022

The Bengals offense is in complete shambles. Burrow pocket management is meh — not the magic it was last year. No schematic answers to taking the teeth out of the pass rush. New line regularly miscommunicating. There’s no easy way out of this mess, either. Just Burrow hero ball.

The new look Bengals’ offensive line looks exactly like their old offensive line.

As i’m watchin the Raiders i can’t help but notice my main man Noah Brown EATINNNNN FOR THE @dallascowboys !!!! Show them!!!

Leaving Micah Parsons as a free rusher feels like a bad idea for the Bengals…

Which of these teams was in a Super Bowl 7 months ago?Cowboys doing it all in first quarter, lead 14-3, gave up points only because of a questionable third-down penalty on Barr.

— Tim Cowlishaw (@TimCowlishaw) September 18, 2022

Cowboys WR Noah Brown has three catches for 54 yards and touchdown. In first quarter. What this offense needed. If defenses are going to tilt coverage to WR CeeDee Lamb, someone elsewhere needs to make them pay price.

Tony Romo on KaVontae Turpin wearing No. 9…

“Well, we both have the same speed.”

😂😂

— SportsDay Cowboys (@dmn_cowboys) September 18, 2022

On opening drive, Cowboys ran an offensive play from inside their opponent’s 30-yard line for the first time this season.

— Michael Gehlken (@GehlkenNFL) September 18, 2022

A gutsy call on fourth and two and Cooper Rush connects with Noah Brown for the first down 17 yard reception.
