A former Missouri football legend is getting his time in front of the camera.

Chase Daniel, one of the best quarterbacks in Tigers history, will join the NFL Network as an analyst, the network announced Monday morning.

He is in his second season with the Los Angeles Chargers, backing up star quarterback and Oregon alum Justin Herbert.

Daniel will appear in-studio on NFL GameDay Final on Mondays following Monday Night Football. His first appearance is Monday night.

He’ll join Omar Ruiz, DeAngelo Hall and Adam Rank as analysts.

Daniel is a 14-year NFL veteran who entered the league in 2009 as an undrafted free agent.

At Missouri, Daniel was the 2007 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. He threw for 12,515 yards and 101 touchdowns in his Tigers career.

As of Monday, three of MU’s first four games will kickoff at 11 a.m.

The SEC announced kick times for the first full week of conference play on Sept. 24. The conference slated the Tigers road trip against Auburn to kick off at 11 a.m.

The game will be televised on ESPN.

The Auburn game will make three-straight games with an 11 a.m. kickoff, starting with Kansas State last week, continuing with Abilene Christian this week and concluding with Auburn.

In contrast to last season, Missouri had five 11 a.m. kickoffs in the 2021 season. The Tigers had three-straight 11 a.m. kickoffs with Southeast Missouri State, Boston College and Tennessee.
