Why Fans Think Lil Durk and India Royale Have Broken Up — All of the Clues

Fans of rapper Lil Durk, 29, and social media star India Royale, 27, are convinced the couple has split up after several cryptic posts were made online by Royale.

The couple had been dating for a total of four years before getting engaged in December 2021. They also have a daughter, who was born in October 2018, according to XXL.

But if fans’ theories and Royale’s latest comments and actions online are anything to go by, the wedding may be off. Newsweek has contacted Lil Durk and Royale’s representatives for comment.

Over the weekend, Royale erased pictures of herself and Lil Durk from her Instagram account.

Eagle-eyed fans also noticed Royale was no longer following Lil Durk. As of Monday, September 12, Durk is still following Royale.

The couple was known for flaunting their love for one another online as well as out in public. Lil Durk even got a tattoo of Royale’s face on his lower calf and she bought him a lavish eternity band, The Music Times reported.

Durk has also dedicated several songs to Royale and rapped about her makeup line in Drake’s song “In the Bible,” rapping: “India Royale cosmetic, I’m just promotin’ my b****/Drake song do a billion streams for sure, I’m just promotin’ her s***/

Then on Sunday, September 11, Royale posted the cryptic tweet “I’m a free agent,” leading fans to believe she was single.

After the tweet was posted, fans of the couple began sharing their sadness that their relationship might be over.

One fan replied: “If you and durk ain’t together no more imma stop dating cause y’all were the only hope I had left in love.”

A second fan of the couple tweeted: “Lil Durk and India Royale broke up i swear ill never love again.”

A third fan chimed in: “This Lil durk and India Royale rumor better be false…”

Durk and Royale met in 2017 and he proposed to the social media and makeup mogul during WGCI’s Big Jam concert in their hometown of Chicago on December 18, 2021.

He took to one knee and declared in front of the crowd “I love you to death. You’ve been holding me down when I was going through a lot.”

Durk then asked: “You’ve been the realest to me. Do you wanna be my wife?” followed by Royale’s highly anticipated “yes.”

They welcomed their first baby girl together, Willow Banks, in October 2018. Royale also has a daughter from another relationship and Durk is the father of other children: sons Angelo, Zayden and Du’mier and daughters Bella and Skyler.
