This is the first joint appearance for the four royals since 2020.
Prince William and Princess Kate—who were created the new Prince and Princess of Wales by King Charles III last night—were reunited with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan at Windsor Castle today.
They had gathered to view floral tributes left by members of the public in Queen Elizabeth II’s memory.
The four exited a car outside the castle and were pictured walking side-by-side in their first joint appearance since March 2020, just before COVID lockdown in the UK.

Together they examined the flowers and tokens left by well-wishers at the castle gates. The 96-year-old monarch had made Windsor Castle her “forever home” only months before her eventual passing at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Sept. 8.
Harry and Meghan held hands as they viewed the floral tributes in scenes reminiscent of the days that followed Diana’s death in 1997 when Prince Charles and his sons viewed tributes to the late princess outside her former home of Kensington Palace.

The Sussexes and the newly-minted Walses (formerly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) also spoke to well-wishers who had crowded to catch a glimpse of the reunited royals.
The extended walkabout saw William, Kate, Meghan and Harry shake hands with members of the public and accept their sympathies. Meghan was given a bouquet of sunflowers and was asked for a hug by a girl.
Both Meghan and Kate wore simple black dresses and black pantyhose.
The walkabout came after William—now first in line to the throne—released a statement via Instagram in which he said that “it will be some time before the reality of life without Grannie will truly feel real.”
He ended by saying, “I will honour her memory by supporting my father, The King, in every way I can.”
