Auburn football score vs. San Jose State: Live updates from Week 2
Auburn #Auburn
AUBURN — Brent Brennan expects a different vibe from Auburn football’s homefield advantage.
His San Jose State program has experience playing Power Five road games, even a recent one against an SEC opponent. But Jordan-Hare Stadium has scored a reputation as one of the loudest in the league, and the Spartans (1-0) will face it firsthand when Auburn (1-0) hosts them Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT, ESPNU).
“I think every environment is different. Like yes, Oregon’s a big stadium, Arkansas was a big stadium, the LA coliseum was a big stadium,” Brennan said. “All of these places we’ve been, they’re all different. Some have a little more edge to them. I think (Jordan-Hare Stadium) is one of those places. Some are a little bit more chill and more reserved. But we are going into the state of Alabama for a football game. We expect the fan base to be rowdy. We expect it to be loud. We expect it to be hard to communicate.”
San Jose State is the Tigers’ last paycheck game before the Power Five schedule kicks off. For now, Bryan Harsin’s quarterback usage remains the primary topic of intrigue in what should be a blowout. Will Robby Ashford’s reps increase, or will Harsin stick with T.J. Finley after his two interceptions in the season opener?
