The No. 23 Rebels (1-0) face the Bears (0-1) in an FBS vs. FCS showdown (6 p.m., SEC Network Plus). Ole Miss has won 10 straight home games dating back to 2020 and can extend the program’s longest home winning streak since the 1960s with a win over Central Arkansas, a school that is 3-12 all-time against FBS opponents including a loss to Ole Miss in 2012.
Rebels coach Lane Kiffin said sophomore Luke Altmyer will start for the Rebels at quarterback after coming off the bench in the Week 1 win over Troy. USC transfer Jaxson Dart, who started the opener, is expected to play some in relief of Altmyer as Altmyer did in Week 1.
