Qantas is slinging half-price Perth flights from every capital city in Australia

Qantas has slashed the price of thousands of airfares to the Western Australian capital and we’re here for it.

Prices start from $175 each way. However, you need to make a return booking to snap that price which brings your total to $350 return.

Flights take off from Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide and Darwin and it doesn’t matter which city you’re flying from, the starting price is still $350 return.

Available travel dates range from October 2022 to June 2023.

How good is this Qantas sale?

It’s no secret that domestic airfares are on the rise. The latest ACCC Airline Competition in Australia Report alone found that economy flights rose by 56% from April to August.

So hearing that flights are dropping down to almost April prices makes our ears perk up.

For more perspective, a quick search on KAYAK for Brisbane-Perth flights, which is one of the longest and most expensive legs to Perth domestically, brings up these Qantas fares as your cheapest option.

Compared to other airlines it’s $130 cheaper than Jetstar for a return flight, based on a Brisbane-Perth trip from 7-11 March 2023 and $143 cheaper than Virgin Australia.

Only direct flights are on sale. This is fine if you’re flying from a larger city, but might be difficult otherwise.

For example, looking at flights from Hobart there’s only 2 flights per week at this price, departing on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Still, this could work out as a nice long weekend trip if you play your flights right.
