Anthony Richardson torches Utah with 45-yard rushing TD

Anthony Richardson made is long-awaited start for the Florida Gators Saturday night against No. 7 Utah.

Richardson has played well in the first half against Utah’s physical defense. The Gators signal caller completed 10-of-13 passes for 101 yards. However, he ripped off a 45-yard touchdown run with under 2 minutes left until halftime.

Richardson has totaled 5 carries for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns through the first half.

Florida scoring that touchdown late in the second quarter to take the 14-13 lead over Utah will help the Gators seize momentum coming out of halftime, too.

Richardson will be a problem for defenses this season. He’s already proving to be a problem for Utah’s talented unit. The dual-threat signal caller will remind some of Cam Newton.
