David Moyes blasts VAR call and accuses Chelsea’s Édouard Mendy of faking injury

David Moyes has accused Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy of cheating and said that Jarred Gillett, the video assistant referee (VAR), should be nowhere near football after his controversial call resulted in West Ham United missing out on a point.
Gillett advised referee Andrew Madley to review an incident involving Mendy and Jarrod Bowen at his touchline monitor which had occurred just before Maxwel Cornet struck a last-minute equaliser.
Madley had initially given the goal but reversed his decision for a foul on Mendy, the Senegal goalkeeper, and Moyes was left insisting he had lost faith in VAR after deciding there was no contact between the players.
