Chris Martin defuses jam in 10th as Dodgers defeat Marlins for series win

With Michael Grove making a spot start in place of the injured Tony Gonsolin, the rookie right-hander gave up a leadoff double in the first to Joey Wendle that led to a Marlins run.

Two innings later, however, the Dodgers got it back and more, thanks to a two-run home run by Will Smith.

Earlier Monday, Smith had been named as an addition to next spring’s Team USA roster for the World Baseball Classic — where the final rounds will just so happen to be held back here in Miami.

For now, he collected his 19th home run and 75th RBI of the season.
