GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Detroit Lions’ losing streak is over.
The Lions beat the Cardinals 26-23 on Sunday on Matt Prater’s 39-yard field goal, ending a nearly year-long skid and giving the franchise a bit of life after starting the season 0-2.
Matthew Stafford passed for 270 yards and two touchdowns, going 4-for-4 on the deciding drive in the fourth quarter, and the Lions intercepted Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray to pull off the upset at State Farm Stadium.
Prater was 4-for-4 on field goals on Sunday.
Dating back to last season, the Lions had been on an 11-game losing streak before the victory.
