How to watch Devils prospect Luke Hughes in 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship: Free live stream, time, TV, channel for Team USA vs. Switzerland

After being named Player of the Game in Tuesday night’s victory, Devils prospect Luke Hughes is ready for more domination at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship.

On Thursday, Hughes and Team USA takes on Switzerland in the second preliminary round game at 10 p.m. ET on NHL Network. Fans wanting to watch Hughes can do so via a free trial of DirecTV Stream.

Look for Hughes to light up the stat sheet once again. He finished with one goal, one assist and controlled the offense for most of the night in the first game vs. Germany. The Devils selected Hughes with the No. 4 pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He’s returning to Michigan for his sophomore season, but could jump to the NHL after that.

The World Junior Championship takes place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and lasts from Tuesday, Aug. 9, to Saturday, Aug. 20. Along with Hughes, prospects like potential 2023 No. 1 pick Connor Bedard, Ducks center Mason McTavish and 2022 third overall pick Logan Cooley are also competing for the gold medal. Team USA will play Switzerland in their next Group B matchup.
