Mike Dean tweeted on Wednesday that he would no longer be appearing at Kid Cudi’s Moon Man’s Landing festival. The producer and DJ made it clear that the decision to remove him from the bill of the Cleveland event was not his and that he is the only artist to be taken off the line-up.

The one-day Moon Man’s Landing is due to take place on September 17 with Cudi headlining alongside guests Playboi Carti, HAIM, Don Toliver and Pusha T. At the time of writing Dean’s name remains on the festival’s website home page. The FADER has reached out for more information.

Dean’s claim that he was pulled from the scheduled appearance came on Twitter when he tweeted: “Looks like I won’t be playing moon man’s landing this year. Someone cancelled me. Lol. Thanks. That’s all. #immature” When one user asked if he meant “cancelled” in the culture wars sense he said no. “No one can cancel me like that! Just some baby kid baby shit,” he tweeted. In a subsequent tweet he called those responsible “weirdos.”

Dean is perhaps best known for his work on multiple Kanye West albums. Cudi and Kanye are currently in the middle of an ongoing beef with the former claiming he would never work with his former GOOD Music label boss again earlier this year. More recently, when Kanye pulled out of a headline set at Rolling Loud Miami last month, Cudi was announced as his replacement. However, Kanye still appeared in Miami, joining Lil Durk on stage at the exact same time Cudi was performing.
