Dating a man ten years younger has kept me youthful – I turned 70 this year, says Calum Best’s mum Angie
Big Man #BigMan
WITH her sensational figure, youthful looks and sparkle in her eye, Playboy icon Angie Best could pass as a woman half her age.
The former model, who turned 70 last month and celebrated with a sexy swimsuit shoot, credits her youthful looks to a healthy diet, exercise regime . . . and having a boyfriend ten years her junior

The mum-of-one met hockey player Marc Miller, now 60, in 1995, long after the break up of her six-year marriage to late football legend George Best.
Angie says: “I look after myself – I put it all down to exercise, supplements, creams and Marc.
“He’s helped me stay young, and I helped him stay young — even though sometimes I’d like to bloody murder him, which is normal.
“Just because you turn a certain age, it doesn’t mean you have to shrivel up and hide away.”
Angie met Marc at a Malibu gym — nine years after she divorced George, father to her son Calum Best, 41.
Angie says: “When Marc told me his age, it never crossed my mind because we just connected in some way.
“He is ten years younger than me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I’ve never looked at his age, or ever thought about his age.
“I don’t think it’s a very special thing. It may have been in my mother’s day, but it certainly isn’t now.
“When I first met him, I thought he looked amazing and I looked good too, so it was a match. Age doesn’t matter.
“And they say that a man is physiologically ten years older than his age . . . which means we are the same.
‘Get on with my life’
“Knowledge, nutrition and supplements these days mean we can grow older but we don’t actually have to be ‘old’ – and I love that.
“We don’t train together. I couldn’t bear it. I don’t want to grunt and groan like a big strong man. I want to do exercises for my body.”
And Angie says the couple’s bond is stronger than ever — with intimacy still playing an important role in their relationship.
She says: “When you are older and you date somebody, it’s not just about the sex any more.
“It doesn’t mean you lose it (libido) either — our love life has never been affected.
“I’ve never had any problems, and I credit that to my good health and looking after myself.”
Fitness has always been a sanctuary for Angie.
When she split from George, who tragically died from alcoholism in 2005 at the age of 59, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a personal trainer to superstar Cher.
It was a welcome respite following a stratospheric rise to fame which saw her and George become the “it” couple.
She says: “We are now known as the David and Victoria Beckham of the time.

“I happened to fall in love with England’s most favourite person.
“Which meant that not very many people liked me, especially the women.
“I’ve had ladies tell me that they hated me, when I married George.
“If I was in a restaurant, they would say . . . ‘When you married George, I absolutely hated you because he was my George’.
“But I just had to ignore it and get on with my life.”
She says: “I was 31 when we split and went straight to work with Cher.
“We didn’t just train together, we were close friends and will always be friends for life.
“Back then training Cher, it was absolutely blissful. It was the best life that anybody could ever want.
“We travelled the world and worked out every day.
“We ate fabulously healthy vegetarian food. We took all the supplements known to man, and we just had a bloody great time.
“She taught me so much. It was lovely and helped me to move forward.”
Angie has also followed in the footsteps of her famous pal when it comes to age-defying cosmetic procedures.
Like the Believe hitmaker, she has had a non-surgical facelift and Botox.
‘I feel no different from my Playboy days’
Angie says: “I’ve never had any regrets on any of my cosmetic treatments, because I’ve followed the woman who knows best, which is Cher . . .
“The last treatment that I had was absolutely amazing.”
It was a non-surgical facelift invented by Dr Sach Mohan of Revere Clinics in Harley Street
“It didn’t hurt, it only took an hour and it was not surgical and makes you look ten years younger in one hour,” says Angie.
“When you spend your life looking after your body, and eating perfectly and taking the right supplements, you don’t want to look at a face full of wrinkles.
“You want to try and make your face look a bit better.”
Angie continues: “I’ve been looking after myself ever since I was a little girl.
“I only had one actual time in my life of not having a healthy lifestyle and that is when George and I separated and divorced.
“Let’s just say I was out at a private members’ club in London every night as a lost soul.
“But one day I woke up and I thought, ‘I don’t want to do this any more’.
“Now I am fortunate enough to have my own gym, and so I am here working out four times a week doing resistance training.
“It’s the best for anti-aging, in my mind. Not just for the body but for the brain, skin, everything, it tightens you up.
I have loved every single minute of my life, and will continue to do so. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Angie Best
“There’s nothing worse than a woman who neglects this fabulous piece of machinery that she has got to work with.”
Angie, who owns her own gym in Henley-on-Thames, Oxon, also credits her healthy lifestyle with sailing through the menopause.
She says: “I never had any symptoms, not one hot flush, never had depression. Nothing.
“I think the menopause symptoms are worse if you’re overweight, you eat the wrong foods or you drink too much alcohol — you’ll suffer even more.
“The menopause never affect my relationship or love life in the bedroom.”
And at the age of 70, Angie shows no signs of slowing down.
She recently said she wants to make 70 the new 50 and wanted to get to 100 “and still look good”.
The former model who was a “bunny” at the Playboy Club in London during the 1970s, before moving to the US where she met George when he was playing for the Los Angeles Aztecs, says: “I’m not one to look back, only forward.
“Maybe because I’m not old enough. But I feel no different from my Playboy days.
“I have loved every single minute of my life, and will continue to do so. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
