A woman who shared her story about how her boyfriend calls her “Tony Pizza” as a pet name has gone viral on social media, delighting the internet.
In a deleted post published to Reddit’s r/Relationship_Advice forum, a woman under the anonymous username u/Adorable_Physics4431 asked the followers of the subreddit for some advice. The Reddit post went viral on Twitter, receiving over 100,000 likes and 6,000 retweets.
The Redditor began their post by explaining that her boyfriend isn’t good at choosing pet names for her as he called her “little stubbster” and “sour meat” in the past. She said that her nickname for him is “little bird.”
“About two weeks ago, he starts calling me tony pizza. This doesn’t even make sense and he uses it more often than my actual name. He is obsessed. It honestly bothers me that he can’t even bother to find a somewhat nice nickname for me. I have had a couple of conversations with him about it but he says he just can’t think of anything better,” the OP wrote.
She ended her post by saying, “I hate being tony pizza.”

Another commented, “I refuse to live in a world where ‘little bird’ is a better nickname than ‘Tony Pizza’. You could be out here calling him stromboli stan and living your best life.”
One questioned, “Imagine still f**king a guy after he calls you sour meat but Tony Pizza is where you draw the line ??”
“Everyone talking about Tony Pizza, but the real gem is the other nickname ‘Sour Meat,'” one Twitter user laughed.
“I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy asking him to call me Tony Pizza,” another referenced Julia Roberts’ quote in the rom-com Notting Hill.
A user tweeted, “Tony Pizza is a GREAT nickname, and even if you disagree about that, you have to admit it’s an enormous improvement over Sour Meat.”
