How old is Blake Gallo on Chicago Fire?
Gallo #Gallo
Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende) is a junior member of the Chicago Fire team. Well, at least he was. The character has proved himself during his time at the 51, and during the season 10 finale, he was told that he had been embraced as part of the “old guard.”
It was a special moment for both Gallo and the fans who had seen him mature since his debut in season 8. The idea of him being part of the “old guard” raises some interesting questions about his age, however. How long has he been a firefighter? How old was he when he joined the 51?
Here’s what you need to know.
Most firefighters are hired between the ages of 25-35, so we can safely assume that Gallo falls into this age range. We’ve never gotten a specific reference to his age of date of birth on the show, but we do have the age of the actor who plays him, Alberto Rosende, as a reference point.
Rosende was born on February 14, 1993, which makes him 29 years old. If we were to take his age and apply it to Gallo, it would line up perfectly with the time he started his tenure at the 51.
We’re also led to believe that Gallo is the same age as Violet (Hanako Greensmith) and Ritter (Daniel Kyri), which tracks given that the age of the actors are 25 and 26, respectively. There’s some confusing math with regards to Violet, given that she was meant to graduate around the same time that Gallo did, but breaking down her age will be a conundrum for another article.

Generally, showrunners and writers like to align the age of the actor with the character. As we stated in the Cruz post, it makes it easier to maintain continuity while ensuring that the actor doesn’t have to look silly playing someone way younger or older than them.
If we are to assume that Gallo is 29, then he’s at the perfect to transition out of the rookie phase and into the mentorship/old guard phase that was bestowed upon him in the season 10 finale.
