‘Jack In The Box’: These Are The Celebrities Who Attended J-Hope’s Listening Party [Videos]
HOSEOK #HOSEOK
It was certainly a night to remember for BTS’ J-Hope who held a listening party on the eve of the release of his first solo album.
The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jung Ho-Seok, partied with his celebrity friends Thursday night at HYBE’s penthouse in Seoul. His first solo album, “Jack in the Box,” will release Friday.
A fan shared a video showing the topmost floor of the building lit up in various colors. “The whole HYBE building is literally at party mode for hoseok,” the person wrote.
Big names from K-pop’s Tinseltown were present at the party, including J-Hope’s bandmates RM, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, Jimin and V. One of the most retweeted posts on Twitter from the “Jack in the Box” listening party was a “Butter” dance battle between Jungkook and J-Hope.
“ZOOM” singer Jessi also attended the event. She shared multiple photos of her posing with other attendees on her Instagram Story feed. A fan retweeted one of her souvenir snaps and wrote, “JIMIN WITH JESSI.”
Inspired by the album’s name, the photo booth at the party was huge.
A fan shared an image taken from the Instagram page of Bigbang’s Taeyang and wrote, “OMG!! Bigbang Taeyang is also at Jhope’s listening party for #JackInTheBox ahh the whole music industry is really out there supporting Hobi!! I’m so proud of him!”
Other celebrities who joined the star-studded gathering were Korean-American rapper Tiger JK, HyunA, Heize, DAWN, Simon D, Bibi and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.
A supporter posted a collage of the celebrities who attended the event.
J-Hope also had a grand time reconnecting with his dance mentor, Boogaloo Kin – a famous South Korean Street dancer, social media star and master of the so-called “poppin” dance steps.
Just before the end of the event, J-Hope took a moment to thank the people who attended his listening party. A fan translated his message on Twitter, which read, “It feels a bit like handing out my business card so thank you for coming.”
J-Hope is the first BTS member to launch a solo album following the group’s recent announcement that they will be shifting their focus on solo projects along with group activities.
