Retribution has terrorized Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown for months now and fan finally learned who the core members are and what their mission statement is.
During the September 21 episode of Monday Night RAW, the five core members of Retribution appeared in the ring. Four of the members are clearly Mia Yim, Mercedes Martinez, Dominik Dijakovic and Dio Maddin with a fifth male member who isn’t identifiable with their mask on.
Mia Yim talks first to explain how they have signed contracts with the WWE and can now do what they want whenever they want.

She explains how while wrestlers are waiting “out in the cold” to serve the company that forces them to “reach for an imaginary brass ring” the wrestlers in the RAW locker room are greedy and just looking for the money.
Dominik Dijakovic gets on the mic next and reiterates a lot of the points Yim makes.
The Hurt Business comes out to interrupt, but Retribution summons more members and they overtake Bobby Lashley, MVP and the rest of the stable with their numbers.

Later in the night, Retribution challenges The Hurt Business to a match as they represent the greed that they are trying to eliminate in WWE. This match would be made official for later in the night.
In the meantime, Retribution would beat down members of the RAW locker room like Titus O’Neil and Humberto Carrillo.
Some members of Retribution were mainstays on NXT while others are relatively new to the company. Dijakovic has had plenty of high-profile matches on NXT, most notably with Keith Lee for the North American Championship. His last match was a loss to Karrion Kross.
Mia Yim was a part of the NXT women’s division for over a year after impressing in the second Mae Young Classic Tournament. She has had multiple NXT Women’s Championship bouts, but unfortunately never held the title.
Mercedes Martinez was a relatively new signing to NXT and was a in high-profile feud with Rhea Ripley. Her last match was a loss to Ripley in a steel cage a few weeks back.
Dio Madden may best be known as a commentator for 205 Live and, shortly, for Monday Night RAW, but originally trained in the Performance Center. However, his last television appearance was the RAW where Brock Lesnar put him through a table with an F5.
Madden would return to NXT to pursue a career as a wrestler.
