it’s gonna be *** very uncomfortable saturday dewpoints around seven o’clock this morning in the mid to upper seventies and even along the river. Earlier today, we had two points in the eighties. Real field values by seven this morning. All into the eighties and nineties. With the exception of our I 55 counties and down south 86° is the real feel in Yazoo City and Jackson 91 in Vicksburg. And we will all feel like the mid to upper nineties by around nine o’clock this morning. Very dangerous. Real savvy is expected getting well into the triple digits later this afternoon and not really seeing us break the triple digit real fields until after six or seven o’clock this evening. So you really want to limit that outdoor activity today. If you don’t have to be outside, don’t be outside, stay inside. Do those inside activities. If you have to be outside, take those frequent breaks every 5 to 10 minutes and those brake should last 15 to 20 minutes long. Stay in the shade hydrate and you also want to bring *** towel with you. If you have to be outside as well. Reason why is with this high humidity, it takes *** lot for that. Um, sweat to evaporate off of your skin And so in order to cool down sometimes, drying yourself off with that towel kind of helps you cool off *** little bit in this excessive heat. But if you don’t have to be outside today, don’t be outside. Here’s those real fifties across central Mississippi later this afternoon. One of seven in Raleigh 1 11 and Jackson won 11 as well in Port Gibson. Some areas up towards the Delta could feel as hot as 1 15, 1 17 degrees. So again, if you have to be outside, you really need to know those symptoms and signs for heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you start feeling faint or dizziness, excessive sweating, cool, pale clammy skin or muscle cramps need to get inside, get into *** cool air conditioned area and you need to be drinking water. You need to cool on off. If you start noticing, you’re not sweating, you have red hot, dry skin and rapid strong pulse. You already have those symptoms of heatstroke. It’s time to call 911. The good news is we eventually end up seeing some improvement as we head into the evening and overnight hours. Unfortunately, this afternoon, not much of coverage when it comes to rain and storms, but *** weak front will slide down south as we head to the evening hours, That’s going to trigger the chance for some showers and thunderstorms, *** few which possibly even on the gusty side that moves through overnight tonight and by daybreak, we are starting off dry, *** little bit cooler mid to upper seventies and then as we head into the afternoon hours we should have some showers and thunderstorms on and off, but it’s not going to be *** widespread rain chance for the day Tomorrow. Highs though *** little bit cooler mid to low nineties with real food values around 100 degrees. So we are starting to see that improvement. That cold front will also bring slightly drier air and it’s going to be the battle of the air masses between drier conditions and tropical moisture that’s gonna build back across central Mississippi by the middle part of the week and then yet another cold front will try to sink down south As we head to the back half of the week, humidity still going to be *** thing all week long. So while temperatures will be in the upper eighties low nineties, real field values will get into the nineties. But it is much better situation that what we’re expecting for today. Rain chances will be possible each day this upcoming week, with the best chance of widespread showers and storms arriving Wednesday and thursday mm
